Adventure Race, October 11, 2014

There are a few days left before the adventure race. Last weekend, we marked the racing and recreational trail that will be used on this occasion.

Racing trails is 21.3km long, starting in village Kovače at an altitude of 714m, with the run to the top of Berim at 1731m and back to the camp Rezala at 712m. The trail passes by the church in the village Cecevo, then follows Cecevska River to the bottom of Berim, then the old railway line to Krivi put that leads to the top of Berim. From Berim, the path returns on Krivi put to Previja, where it continues through the village Orašak to the lake Gazivode and to the camp Rezala, where it finishes.

Recreational Trail is 16.9km long. It also starts in the village Kovace at an altitude of 714m, with a hike to the ridge Previja (1305m) and back to the camp Rezala at 712m. The trails is similar as the racing trail, with the difference that there is no climb from Previja to the top of Berim, but instead it returns to the lake. The trail passes by the church in the village Cecevo, then follows Cecevska River to the bottom of Berim, then the old railway line to Previja. From Previja, the path goes to the village Orašak and further to Gazivode Lake and the camp Rezala, where it finishes. The pictures provide trail maps and profiles, with the first image related to the racing and the other for the recreational path.
