Flora and Fauna
Climate specifics of Mokra Gora (wet oasis in a wide dry area) enable the development of rich and specific flora and vegetation. In Mokra Gora there is a large number of rare, relict and endemorelict species (bark pine, white bark pine, spruce, fir, pine, dwarf). Specific plant species have enabled the creation of special plant communities, and as a result of the overall ecological factors the specific vertical zoning of plant communities occurs. Mokra Gora territory is rich in medicinal and related plants such as sweet woodruff, common hazel, red geranium, juniper, oak, sessile, lungwort, wild raspberry, willow, elderberry, blueberry (widely present) and cranberry, whitebeam, rowan, wild cherry, wild pear, crab apple, thyme, etc.
Situation with fauna is relatively satisfactory. There are several protected species in the municipality (bear, deer, grouse), there are also wild boars and to a lesser extent rabbits, wolves, foxes, martens, wild cats, partridges, hazel grouses, eagles, falcons. Artificial lake Gazivode is rich in fish: carp, barbel, grass carp, bream, chub, common nase, and the mountain rivers, Čečevska and Brnjačka, are rich in mountain trout. In Crepuljska river there are eels occasionally.
